Vanilla flan

INGREDIENTS FOR CARAMEL
1 cup of sugar
6 tbs. of water

DIRECTIONS FOR CARAMEL
1. Mix very well water and sugar in a pot.
2. Put on medium high fire until it boils. (Avoid using a spoon or anything to mix caramel during heating.)
3. After one minute of boiling (or when caramel has the consistency and color you want) turn off the heat.
4. Pour caramel over the pan you are going to use, making sure to spread it on the sides of the pan too.

INGREDIENTS FOR FLAN:

5 eggs
13 oz. of evaporated milk
1 cup of sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 tsp. of vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

1. Heat oven to 350 Farenheit grades.
2.  Mix in a blender all 5 eggs.
3. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well on blender.
4. Pour mixture over pan with caramel.
5. Put a pan (bigger than the one with caramel) in oven. Inside this pan place the one with flan mixture.
6. Add water to the bigger pan, (being careful not to overfill it so the water gets in the flan mixture)
7. Bake for one hour.
8. Let flan stand until cool. Unmold it and refrigerate.
